Easter Sunday Assembly - Hope

This is a plan for an assembly on Easter Sunday, with a focus on the theme of hope. There is an optional PowerPoint on the Easter Sunday story included. The plan is easy to follow and requires no resources, so is perfect for using at the last minute! I like leading assemblies that are interactive, engaging and relevant to the children’s lives. So this assembly involves you telling an anecdote about a school scenario, before linking this to the story of Jesus rising again on Easter Sunday. There is a lot of opportunity for children to think about their own experiences and to feedback. There is also an example prayer/reflection to finish with. A version of the PowerPoint is also available separately: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/easter-sunday-presentation-11542787 You might also be interested in my KS1 and KS2 Easter Sunday lessons: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/ks1-re-rs-lesson-easter-sunday-11830810 https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/easter-sunday-re-lesson-ks2-11515913
